I am an artist!

My old friend Robin's stepfather Wayne (cool guy: very "out there") had that written on the back of his backpack. I remember that way back from the age of 16 or whenever it was. Seemed like such a dangerous statement to make, tantamount to writing "I'm a poor bastard!" or "I'm pretentious!" on your pack. Nevertheless, I used that as the title of a college entrance essay less than two years later. I got in, but I didn't go to that school (Emerson college).

Instead I went to New York University to labor at the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts. Namedrop, namedrop, blah blah blah. I studied in the Experimental Theatre Wing for 3 and 1/2 years, with early graduation because of AP credits. I'm a smarty-pants.
