If there's one thing I've noticed about jobs like ours, there's a very fine line between being a workaholic and being a complete slacker... and in fact, it's all together too easy to appear to be a workaholic while being a complete slacker because it just feels like everything bleeds together after awhile.

I wish I could figure out how I consistently seem to spend 10 hours sitting in front of the computer "working" only to discover that my time clock has only recorded 3 billable hours. This is the question that's eluded me for two years and is likely going to drive me mad enough to look for a job outside of the house (which I've come to the realization is likely going to mean moving out of the Shire... Hence I drag my feet looking. Sigh).

I've been doing much better at getting out of the house thanks to ballet and pole dancing lessons and a boyfriend who lives an hour away... and while that's certainly improved my quality of life by getting me out of the house, and doing things for self betterment... it hasn't exactly improved my work ethic.

Oh, and nevermind the housework. I have a messy apartment that I can't seem to conquer because I feel guilty every time I step away from the computer when I'm home.

I feel your pain, man. I wish I had the magic answer.

So agree.
